We’ve combined the unique flavors and ingredients of states like Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas with our one-of-a-kind Ohio twist. And as we’ve maintained the traditions of Old Hickory Pit Smokers and handmade care, we’ve also started our own traditions as a community organizer and weekly contributor to local charities in the Springfield area.

More About Our Founder
Rudy Mosketti
Rudy is a Vietnam War veteran who has served our country with the utmost pride and respect, and he has since translated his veteran values into being a restaurateur. With over 40 years of restaurant experience, Rudy was primed and ready to start his own business back in 2005. And with the support of his faith and belief in God’s destined path, Rudy’s Smokehouse has turned into one of the top barbecue restaurants in Central Ohio.
But Rudy’s Smokehouse wouldn’t have necessarily made to where it is today without Mosketti’s dedication to Christian values, which have made him a very unique business owner. Over the years, Rudy has raised thousands of dollars for local charities by donating half of the restaurant’s earnings every Tuesday, and Springfield locals simply can’t get enough of his menu that provides professionals and families with a spot to eat world-class barbecue at affordable prices.
And Rudy is the type of guy who you’ll see at the restaurant on a regular basis. He genuinely loves to get in touch with all his customers and learn more about the local Springfield community.
