Is famous for their vinegar base barbeque sauce which is augmented by a variety of secret herbs and spices – some favorites are salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, red pepper, onion powder, garlic, nutmeg, molasses, brown sugar and even whiskey. The specific potion is often a closely held secret, or varies depending on the ingredients at hand, but the sauce is thin, unlike most commercial tomato-based barbecue sauces. Rudy’s Smokehouse has followed in their tradition as well, creating our “North Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich.” A heaping pile of pulled pork topped with our signature Cole Slaw and our special herb- spiced vinegar barbeque sauce.
Here at Rudy’s Smokehouse we take pride in our products. Special care is taken to ensure every inch of our ribs, pork shoulders, beef brisket and turkey breast are rubbed evenly with our special spices and seasonings. We spend hours upon hours smoking our meats to serve you a slab of ribs with meat “falling off the bone” and pork, beef and turkey so tender it melts in your mouth. But don’t forget our sides! We have a professionally trained crew that is committed to making sure we have fresh sides ready and waiting daily.
Don’t fret! Believe it or not our meats are well done and fully cooked. The pink you see is caused from our cooking procedure by smoking our meats.
We do! Currently we offer 6 kinds of Rudy’s Signature BBQ Sauces- Sweet, Hot, Carolina, Inferno, Spicy Garlic and Honey Mustard. Our Sweet BBQ sauce is a tomato-based sauce with Rudy’s secret ingredients. Our hot bbq sauce is for those who like to add a little spice to their meal. Our Carolina is a lighter, vinegar based BBQ sauce; and you have to sign a waiver for our INFERNO hot sauce! One thing is certain; one dab of that stuff can cure the common cold. (A stuffy nose for example)
Rudy’s Smokehouse is not currently; however, our goal is that by 2010 we will be in a position to grow our business. In the meantime, please treat yourself and visit our 2 locations in Springfield, Ohio and become part of the raving fans at Rudy’s Smokehouse !
